So the Ministry of Advancement's space agency, PISCES (formerly known as MASA), just took its first pictures of a celestial body, the Moon. On the evening of February 12 2024, about 3 days after the New Moon phase (which marked the beginning of the Chinese Lunar Year of the Dragon), the sky was finally clear, and we could observe the Moon in its crescent phase. We took a picture that shows the Earthshine, which happens when the nightside of the Moon is lit by Earth's reflection of sunlight. Here it is: We then went on to also capture a nice image of the surface of the Moon. The sunlit crescent is experiencing a super-slow dawn and you can see some nice crater details going on up there. Both pictures are undergoing analysis at the PISCES (Pangaea Interstellar Survey, Cooperation and Exploration Service). One day later, we've taken magnified images of the Moon, and assembled our first mosaic image to obtain this beautiful picture of the Sunrise on our nearest neighbor:
