I'd really like the online University of the Federation of Pangaea to get going. The process is simple. Let's say you're really good at coding JavaScript, and you'd like to teach it. You make a thread called "JavaScript coding classes". In it you teach coding. You can always edit your OP (original post) at any time, Therefore you can really build your OP up, organize your op into chapters and even link to important posts you make in your own thread. that way you don't have to write a hundred threads for that one subject.
Once you've completed your tutorial thread, you can make a new thread called "JavaScript coding exams". In this thread's OP you provide something like 25 or 50 questions (or whatever number of questions you feel it takes), with a number to each question. To every questions you can then provide a choice of answers listed with an alphabetical bullet (Answer A, Answer B, Answer C, etc) so you personally secretly know that, say, the correct answer to Question 1 is Answer B. Only one correct answer to each questions. I don't want any "everybody's a winner" or "the correct answer is any of the above" nonsense, it'll damage our credibility and make the University look weak. Lets keep it straightforward and clean-cut. The student completes the exam by sending you, via private message, his answers (example: the student says, I think Question 1 correct answer is Answer B). It's important that he sends his answers by private message. Otherwise other people could cheat if he passes and his answers are public. If you find that at least 75% of his answers are correct, you can then officially award him a Ph.S. (Philosophiae Scholasticus) degree by making a short, public post in the Philosophiae Scholasticus degree awards official thread. Just make a post like, "John Doe has earned a Ph.S. Degree in JavaScript coding".
Short and simple, and it'll really get the online University rolling. Fun fact: if you decide to teach a topic, then you yourself automatically obtain a Ph.S. degree in that topic.
Does anyone have any questions or comments?
