This channel is a subsidiary of the Ministry of Justice; and it will serve for citizens to register copyrighted names, intellectual property, or Pangaean Patents (a Property). Such material remain owned by the claimant.
One cannot register property that is already owned by another person, whether this other person is Pangaean or Foreign. Once a citizen claims a property, another citizen may not claim a similar property. In the case of an entity name, another person may claim a name only if such name is different by at least one character (spaces and dashes excluded) from the already claimed name. One may not patent life forms nor any of their anatomical parts, nor structures.
If a person develops a new technology, such person may claim exclusive intellectual property over this technology. This claim will remain valid for one thousand days after the claim, after which other entities will be allowed to duplicate the technology.
A person of any type may not patent nor claim any natural substances, or any natural phenomena.
So to avoid "hogging", a single citizen may make no more than 10 claims. Individuals that are not citizens of the Federation of Pangaea may not make any claims.
