How to create a rocket ?
Here I’ll try to create a thread with all the knowledge we can share for sending something in space if we want to do it. There is a lot of different engine that I do not know or that must be discover but,
After some study of the subject I have categorize 4 points that should be consider for a normal liquid rocket engine.
The first one is the tank of cryogenic hydrogene or other molecules.
The second is the injection part. This generally require turbopump powered by a second combustion chamber. I have imagine replace it by huge spring ?
Then the combustion chamber (my favorite part). I believe a bell shape chamber could maximise the thrust
And to finish the nozzle

This is very interesting thread. However I do believe that we should probably call our future spaceship some other name than "ISS", as the name is already taken... Could you expand on the nature of the fuel involved in the liquid rocket you describe? My knowledge in aeronautical engineering is really poor.

The most comon used propelant IS hydrogene that need to be oxydise by pure oxygene. The mix is done in the combustion chamber with the injectors

I see. But why is the hydrogen liquid? Is it easier to contain than its gas phase?

Non this IS to tank à larger amount of oxygene in the same volume

Oh, this makes sense. You can compress more atoms together than with a gas phase.
How is the hydrogen kept liquid? Freezing?
